Wafer Screw

Wafer head screws, also called truss head screws, feature a wide, low-profile head. The bottom of the wafer head is designed to fit with a washer, which increases pre-tightening force. This helps prevent the screw from loosening under vibration or external impact, ensuring a stable and secure connection.

These screws come with a Phillips drive (wafer phillips) and are available with self-tapping sharp points or self-drilling (tek) points, making them ideal for direct installation into thin metal materials such as steel or aluminum sheets without the need for pre-drilling. This allows for fast construction and significant time savings.

Surface treatments include zinc plating, phosphate black (phosphating), and Ruspert (thermal rust-proof) coating. The commonly used material is C1022A low carbon steel, and standard wire diameters include 4.2mm and 4.8mm. Lengths range from 13mm, 16mm, 19mm, 25mm to 32mm. The most popular sizes are 4.2×13mm, 4.2×16mm, and 4.2×19mm.

These wafer head self drilling screws and wafer head screws self drilling are widely used in building ceiling and partition systems, offering efficient and reliable fastening solutions.

When selecting screws, it is important to consider the thickness and hardness of the connected materials, as well as the application environment. Choosing the proper screw material, point type, and surface treatment is essential to ensure firm installation and safe use. For wood-based applications, wafer head wood screws may also be selected.

Our product range includes wafer head self tapping screws and wafer head tek screws to meet different installation needs across metal, wood, and composite substrates.
