Blue masonry screws, also known as blue tip concrete screws or blue concrete anchors, are typically manufactured from low carbon steel C1022A. Their surface is treated with a blue anti-corrosion coating, providing excellent resistance to rust and passing salt spray tests ranging from 48 to 500 hours.
These blue screws for concrete are designed with a diamond-shaped drill point, allowing them to cut directly into concrete, brick, and stone without the need for anchors. To ensure proper installation, a pilot hole is required, usually 1 mm smaller than the screw diameter.
Common Head Types
Hex head with slotted drive – suitable for higher torque applications.
Countersunk Phillips head – for flush finishes in wood or metal fixtures.
Pan head Phillips – for general-purpose fixing where a flat bearing surface is needed.
Sizes
Diameters (thread size): 3.5 mm, 4.8 mm, 5.5 mm, 6.3 mm, 7.5 mm, 10 mm
Lengths: 25 mm – 150 mm
Applications
Blue concrete screws (or blue masonry screws) are widely used for:
Fixing metal frames, brackets, and conduits to concrete walls
Securing wooden battens or metal tracks in construction
Installing heavy-duty items such as air-conditioning brackets, railings, and equipment supports
With their self-tapping thread design and corrosion-resistant blue coating, these screws provide a reliable fastening solution for both indoor and outdoor masonry applications.
